Common questions
How do I set up the AI reflections?
Pathoragy uses a bring-your-own-key model: you connect your own AI provider so your data goes directly from your device to that provider, never through us.
- Open Settings in the app.
- Choose a provider — DeepSeek (default), OpenAI, Cloudflare Workers AI, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
- Paste your API key from that provider.
- Tap "Generate this week's reflection" when you want a reflection.
You can switch providers or clear your key any time in Settings.
Why isn't anything happening when I tap "Generate"?
The AI features only work once you've added a provider and API key in Settings (see above). If you've added one and it still fails, double-check that the key is valid and has credit/quota with your provider.
How do I verify a Waypoint with a photo?
Tap "Verify with photo," take a photo in the moment, and Pathoragy sends that single image to your configured AI Vision provider for verification. Pathoragy never reads your existing photo library — only the live shot you take. You can decline camera access in iOS Settings if you'd rather not use this feature.
What's free, and what's in Pathoragy Pro?
Free forever: the 9 launch Lighthouse figures, one (truncated) AI reflection per week, and the full Logbook and Boat-growing experience.
Pathoragy Pro:
- Monthly — US$4.99 / month
- Annual — US$34.99 / year (saves about 42%)
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, so you manage them in iOS:
Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Pathoragy
There you can change plan or cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. For refund requests, use Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where is my data stored? Can I delete it?
Your Logbook, scores, and Boat live on your device (and, if you enabled it, your private iCloud) — not on our servers. To delete everything, delete the app (and remove the iCloud copy in iOS Settings if you used one). See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
I restored my device / got a new phone — where's my data?
If you had iCloud enabled for Pathoragy, signing into the same Apple ID and reinstalling restores your data. If you did not use iCloud, local-only data does not transfer between devices.
